If you're one of those people that's going to judge a book by it's cover(in this case a band, durr), pretty much everything about BRUCExCAMPBELL's aesthetic would tell you that they are a joke and should not be taken seriously, or that the music would be horrendously cheesy. Even though they're named after one of the most entertaining actors of all time(fact. Don't argue). But if you're actually willing to check out any of the songs off their debut full-length, RSR release "We Are All Kamikaze", you would be very, very pleasently surprised to find a full on, no bullshit, stupidly good grindcore band. This California 4-piece is definitely in the same vein as Insect Warfare and Kill the Client. Great riffs, good grooves, beastly vocals. Definitely a band worth devoting some ear time too.

And while you're at it, check out the band AXSXH as well. Noisy hardcore/powerviolence from the Netherlands who have a couple 7"s out. Pretty good stuff, and they're named after a Bruce Campbell character from one of the greatest horror series ever(again, this is a fact. Faaaact).

  1. The Evil Dead are amongst the best horror films! And BrucexCambell cover of Unholy Grave is one of my favourite tracks!
