New +HIRS+ Songs!! (You Should Know What I'm Going To Say About Them)
The day I run out of good things to say about +HIRS+ is the day I start listening to Korn and Slipknot again and try eating my own feet out of sheer ignorance. It's been a bit of a quiet year for them so far, but the gal's are back and rolling in deep into 2013 with a shit ton of new releases and even more new tracks. And just...goddamn. +HIRS+ just keep getting better and better. This time they have the power of an actual studio recording on there side, and the results are even more crushing than before! They sound loud, pissed, and fucking huge!! Not only that, but the drum programming has become ridiculously insanely great. I honestly thought that they got a real drummer when I first heard it, it's that good. +HIRS+ have without a doubt perfected their craft, and if you doubt me, check out the new songs coming from their upcoming split 7" with Water Torture (!!!!!) and split VHS (you heard right) with Bubonic Bear. Hail Dog, Worship Satan.

Download A Metric Buttload of New Six Brew Bantha Tunes!
Props to those who get my witty title (I'm hilarious). Not content with just releasing one of the best grindcore albums this year, Canadian power-trio, Six Brew Bantha, have finished recording for not one, but two new split 7" records! One with blackened-crusters, and fellow Victortians, Iskra, and another with Agitate, from Minneapolis. What's even better, is that they've put up their new recordings for free download! It should come as know surprise that the new songs absolutely kill it. Tons of groove, incredible stop-start riffs, a great clanging snare drum, and a killer heavy recording. Fans of their self-tlted full length will not be disappointed. The band is currently looking for labels interested in releasing these bad boys, so if you know some people(or are some people), help a sick band out! Download the tracks here!

Stream A New Unmixed Track From Six Brew Bantha!
Not content with releasing one of the best albums of the year with their self-titled full length, Canadian fastcore band Six Brew Bantha are already finishing up recordings for 2 new split 7"s! The first one, which this track comes from, is with Agitate from Minneapolis, the other is with a band that is currently TBA (oooooo, how exciting). The new unmixed/unmastered track, entitled Opposition, is a short blaster of a song, with tons of excellent stop-start riffs to please listeners like me. Really killer stuff, can't wait to hear the final product. Stream the song below.

Interview WIth Sebastian Rokicki (Antigama)
It's with great pleasure and an honer to bring you this exclusive interview with Sebastian Rokicki, the guitarist for one of my favorite grindcore bands, Antigama. We talk about the new line-up, what has been happening with Antigama the past couple years, and their excellent, new EP, "Stop The Chaos"(available now from Selfmadegod Records). This interview was conducted over email.
Sebastian: Pawel and Antigama happened to rehearse in the same building. To be honest, it came pretty naturally. I asked him if he would be interested and he was. And his experience in a band like Vader is a very positive factor for us.
Operation Grindcore: It's been a few years since there's been any new Antigama material, and it appears that a lot has happened in the band since 2009. Can you give a brief run down of what happened after the release of "Warning"?
Sebastian Rokicki: Well... we went on European tour with Fuck The Facts and Dr.Doom after 'Warning' was released; then in May 2009 we came to the US for shows with Complete Failure. Later that year and a through the half of 2010 we took part in a few dramas as a live soundtrack band and played in theatres in Poland. It was completely different experience but very important for us as a band. In the beginning of 2011 we recorded the material for a split CD with Psychofagist from Italy. Everything was going great when the bad news came. Lucas' daughter was diagnosed with leukemia... We'd spent that hard time supporting our friend until his daughter got better. The year has passed and we have a new minialbum recorded. We're back.
OG: The band has gone through some very heavy line-up changes, including the departure of your long time drummer, Krzysztof Bentkowski. Why did he leave the band?
Sebastian: He did not leave the band. I asked him to leave. Krzysiek is a very good and original drummer but a very tough partner in the band. After 11 years of playing together his conditions were unacceptable.
OG: How did your new drummer, Pawel Jaroszewicz, join the band? I'm sure his impressive resume of bands he's been in was a big deciding factor.
OG: This year also sees the recorded return of founding vocalist, Lukas! Something that I'm very excited about. How did he get back into the band?
Sebastian: Thanks! Lucas is a monster on vocals. I love the way he does all the stuff and I'm very happy he's in the band again. All that time he had been very close to us but just busy with lots of things. He's been back in the band since 2010 to be precise...
New Sea of Shit Songs!
One of my favorite modern powerviolence outfits, and the band that put out my favorite EP of last year, are back in action and bringing the hate and filth with three new songs from their upcoming split 7" with Chicago dwellers, Consent. Back after a very brief hiatus after losing their guitar player, Mike. Fortunatly though, they decided to continue on, though they have hinted at these being their final songs. Hopefully that's not the case, but worry about that later. Until then, check out the new songs now!

Download Some New Cloud Rat Tracks Fo' Free!
Your favorite Michigan grind trio, the wonderful Cloud Rat, have just put up their side of their upcoming split LP with Republic of Dreams for free download. Six tracks this time around; still heavy, still moody, still intense, it's everything I have come to love and expect from Cloud Rat. The split should be available sometime next month, and and in addition, a split with Orgullo Primitivo and a 2nd full-length entitled Moksha are nearing completion. Holy shit, right? These guys are busy busy busy. Download the tracks here and support Cloud Rat!

New Coke Bust Song!
Straight edge, D.C, hardcore band Coke Bust (featuring Chris Moore of Magrudergrind on drums), have just debuted a brand new track entitled, "Pain and Suffering" from their upcoming split with Vaccine. I've never really given much time to the band, but this song is pretty kick ass. It has a hardcore punk beginning that eventually morphs into more of a grindcore sound. I should probably join the cool-kids-club already and get a few of this bands records, and I'm frothing at the mouth to hear new material from Vaccine. The split 7" will be available later this year from Drugged Conscience and Refuse Records. In addition, they also have a live 7" coming out sometime this summer. Keep a look out, and catch Coke Bust at Maryland Deathfest, if you're going.

The Cover Art For The Extortion/Coldwar Split Is...Different
Don't get me wrong, I think this is a really, really cool cover, but it's just so different from the typical Extortion aesthetic. It's much more subtle I'd say, no one's about to get mutilated or fucked up or anything. It reminds me of Blade Runner mixed with 1984, or something. Anyways, this new split 12" will be released sometime later this year on RSR. 11 new songs from Extortion and 7 from Cold World, who I've never heard before. New Extortion gets me pumped.
